Who We Are
County of Leslie Lifting Youth, better known as COLLY, is a
non-profit organization started in October of 2004. It was established to help
address the needs of youth in Leslie County, Kentucky through the development of
programs in areas of health, education, and spirituality. COLLY is committed to
supporting programs that will be permanent fixtures in the community and
directly benefit our youth. COLLY's Board of Directors is made up of six
volunteer members that represent a wide variety of community services and
activities. COLLY employs one full-time director.
What We Do
- assess the needs of youth in our county
- support organizations trying to develop youth programs through providing
grants, information, and consultation
- initiate our own youth programs, often through collaboration with other
service providers in the county
- provide the means for evaluation of programs
- collect data on youth through their involvement in these programs
- network within the community to bring together organizations with common,
youth-oriented goals
